Courtney B. Wilson
Senior Consultant – Healthcare Fraud Defense & Compliance
Consultant
Courtney B. Wilson brings more than two decades of distinguished federal law-enforcement experience to the firm’s healthcare-defense practice. A former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and program leader, she directed the Bureau’s top-ranked Health Care Fraud Strike Force—the largest in the nation—where she managed complex, billion-dollar investigations involving Medicare, Medicaid, and private-insurance fraud.
During her tenure, Ms. Wilson oversaw landmark prosecutions such as United States v. Minal Patel (LabSolutions), a $463 million genetic-testing fraud; Operation Nightingale, which exposed a multi-state nursing-diploma scheme distributing more than 7,600 fake credentials; and AmeriHealth Labs, a $73 million Medicare false-claims case. Her teams secured over $1.2 billion in restitution, $53 million in asset forfeitures, and hundreds of federal indictments.
Beyond her healthcare-fraud portfolio, Ms. Wilson led internal investigations for the FBI’s Miami Division, directed the Bureau’s Western European Legat Operations in Washington, D.C., and served as the FBI case agent in foreign-corruption probes that produced record-setting corporate settlements—including the $519 million Teva Pharmaceutical Industries FCPA resolution.
Known for her results-driven leadership and inter-agency coordination, Ms. Wilson has collaborated extensively with the Department of Justice, HHS-OIG, Florida’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and private insurers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield. She is also a recognized mentor who has guided dozens of federal agents and analysts to career advancement.
At the firm, Ms. Wilson advises clients facing civil or criminal healthcare-fraud inquiries, internal investigations, and compliance reviews.
